We have been able to take a systematic approach that is used with professional and collegiate sporting teams and bring it to the Flathead Valley. Thomas Parkhill

PT, DPT, TSAC-F, SFMA, FMS

Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

Clinic Owner

Thomas received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Montana in Missoula in 2003. He then finished his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at U of M in 2006. 

He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He is also a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Thomas specializes in comprehensive movement testing to understand movement imbalances and their contributions to pain and impaired performance. What type of person has Thomas helped? Athletes? Check. Moms? Check. Weekend Warriors? Check. Hard Working Montanans? Check. Doesn’t matter where you come from, he has the expertise to get you where you are going. 

Thomas grew up in Columbia Falls and opened Precision Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab with his wife, Adria, in 2013. They have a 7 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. He enjoys camping, hiking and skiing with his family. He also enjoys bowhunting and Jiu Jitsu…. but usually not with 2 little kids and his wife.

Amanda McDonald

PTA, OPTA, SFMA, CF-L1, USAW Level 1

Amanda was raised in Butte, MT, where her passion for helping people started. Following her first year of college at Montana Tech, she enlisted in the US Army. Over the course of her 6 years of active duty service, she was stationed in Italy, Fort Lewis, and traveled many parts of Europe as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Specialist.  Amanda returned back to her Montana roots and moved to Kalispell in 2012.  In 2016 she graduated from the Flathead Valley Community College Physical Therapist Assistant program with her Associate of Applied Science degrees.

 

Fitness, health, wellness, and helping people has always been a passion for Amanda and started throughout her youth athletics, playing hockey in Minnesota and Canada. In 2014, she received her Level 1 USA hockey coaching certificate, where she coached youth hockey and played in the adult hockey league. She holds a certification as a Orthopedic Specialist through the Net Gen Institute of Physical Therapy, is a Level 1 CrossFit trainer with a Movement & Mobility Certification and is also a Level 1 USA Weightlifting coach. 

 

When she’s not in the clinic, Amanda can be found training at CrossFit Flathead, competing in national Olympic weightlifting competitions and on the water, camping, or traveling.

JD Fields

Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

Clinic Director

JD received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Montana State University in Bozeman in 2010. He then received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University in Goodyear, Arizona in 2015. 

 

He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. JD is also certified in Dry Needling, Spinal Manipulation, as well as taken comprehensive courses in Orthopedic Manual Therapy techniques. JD has experience for helping people in all aspects of life from pediatrics to older adults and a large variety of conditions from neurological to sports and orthopedic issues. 

 

JD grew up in Columbia Falls and was able to move back to the valley after 10 years down in Phoenix, AZ with his wife Danielle, his daughter (5) and his son (2). JD is a sports enthusiast as well an outdoor enthusiast enjoying many of the activities Montana has to offer.

Tyler Lacy

PT, DPT, FMS

We are beyond excited to welcome Tyler Lacy, DPT to the Precision team! Tyler received his Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University in 2015. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2019.

He is passionate about helping his patients improve their quality of life and achieve their own personal goals, whether that is in improving day to day activities or returning to high level athletics. He is eager to continue to learn and grow as a clinician with Precision Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab.

Although born and raised in western Kansas (where there are no mountains, or even hills), he always wanted to end up surrounded by mountains and in an area that would facilitate his lifestyle. He is excited to explore Flathead Valley through hiking, biking, skiing, camping and various other outdoor activities! He is an avid biker and runner and has plans to compete in races throughout the year. If you see Tyler in the clinic, be sure to let him know your favorite hidden gems in Montana!

Tanner Tripp

PT, DPT, FMS

Tanner received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas in 2017. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in May of 2020. 

As a former athlete and current yogi, Tanner has developed a passion towards helping others achieve their goals by empowering them with the tools they need to move well. She enjoys learning about each individual client so she can develop a customized approach required to meet their goals and embrace physical activity as an important component of a healthy lifestyle. 

Outside of the clinic Tanner enjoys yoga, hiking, camping, standup paddle boarding, traveling, and visiting local coffee shops. She is excited to explore the area, improve her skiing skills, and learn new outdoor hobbies that allow her to see all the beauty Montana has to offer!

Bryan Michel

PT, DPT

Bryan began his work in health and wellness as a yoga teacher and massage therapist.  In 2020 Bryan earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University in  Denver, CO. 

Bryan treats each patient as a whole person, blending eastern and western methods,  and emphasizing individual agency in the healing process. Bryan is certified in dry  needling, trigger point therapy and myofascial release as techniques for bringing  balance to the neuromuscular systems. 

Bryan and his family recently moved to the Flathead Valley and hope to build  community and serve the people here. In his free time Bryan trains in Aikido, practices  hot yoga, and loves hiking and trail running in the beautiful Montana outdoors.

Kim Gillespie

PTA, Certified LSVT BIG, CAPTCC

Kim received her Associates of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant at Pima Medical Institute in Denver, CO in 2010. Kim has attended all of the NAIOMT (Northern American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy) courses and earned her clinical competency certificate in Aquatic Physical Therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association in 2019 in Boston, MA. Kim is certified as a LSVT BIG clinician, which helps people with Parkinson's improve their mobility and activities of daily living.

Kim grew up in Columbia Falls, MT and recently moved home to be closer to family. She is passionate about setting people up for success and exceeding their goals while leading with empathy and compassion.

You can find Kim outside of the clinic falling off a paddle board at the lake, hiking the mountains, sipping and slurping new coffees and spending time with family. Her niece and nephew are near and dear to her heart.

Cody Suder

PT, DPT, CSCS

Cody grew up in Laramie, WY as a multi sport athlete and went on to play Junior hockey after high school. Due to multiple surgery related injuries, his hockey career was cut short and he went on to receive his Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Boise State University. After coaching strength and conditioning at BSU, he went on to get his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of the Pacific.

He has a strong passion for fitness, well-being, and interpersonal connections which guided his pathway to physical therapy. He holds certifications in dry needling, concussion management, and strength and conditioning which provide a background for being an effective PT since 2018.

Moving from Idaho, he is excited to explore everything that Montana has to offer. He loves to recreate outdoors, specifically fly-fishing and skiing, with his dog. He is excited to join the Precision team and hopes to add to an already very strong team.
